Coming August 4-9, 2008 its "Got Shots? Protect Tots!" week. This quarterly event is designed to provide additional opportunities for children to stay up-to-date on their immunizations. This is an opportunity to catch children up to date on any vaccine they require. During "Got Shots? Protect Tots!" week, participating providers will open their doors on one or more of the dates and provide immunizations to any child who presents without an appointment, regardless of whether they are a patient or whether they have insurance. Most participating providers will also have Presumptive and Medicaid Eligibility services available during the event. Consult the New Mexico Immunization Coalition for a provider in your area to make sure your child has the shots needed to enroll in school.
